About Me

I'm studying CS + Economics at Duke University. Some of the places you may find me in my free time are on the golf course, at the piano bench, in the gym, or running around Durham with friends. Nothing gets me more excited than the challenge of solving a problem, perfecting a skill, or performing in front of an audience. I'm also a major stathead; I follow my Cleveland sports teams closely and enjoy interacting with the baseball and basketball analytics communities. If I've learned one thing from years of Cleveland sports, it's how to be a resilient optimist!

Work Experience

  • Back-end Engineering

During multiple projects and internships, I've had the opportunity to maintain essential back-end infrastructure for large, complex code bases. From designing new microservices to writing unit and integration tests, I've enjoyed driving "under the hood" features for end users.

  • Web Development

Fluent in React.js, Angular.js, HTML5, and CSS3. I've built several web applications and have implemented key features like secure user authentication, database design (JSON, NoSQL), and UI/UX testing. I'm always open to learning new frameworks and have enjoyed merging my back-end skills with front-end principles.

  • Data Science

This spring, I collaborated with Google Cloud to develop statistical insights ahead of 2019 NCAA March Madness. Our work -- which leveraged ML models, lots of SQL, and GCP collaborative products -- was featured during Google Cloud commercials and CBS broadcasts throughout the tournament.
